| I'm not sure what to make of this. I just fetched a topic and owharty (ID# 12734) came up as a new name. I decided to go find their post/profile because of their low ID. When I did, I found that their profile shows their name as OwenRocky. Also, they haven't logged in since November 23, 2011, so they couldn't have taken advantage of the recent name change feature, right? | Indeed I have. The real username now is OwenRocky, betting it was autoreconciled. GS hadn't unmerged at the time of autoreconciliation, so when the name should have changed it was still considered a different account, and when the GS accounts merged into GF accounts the name on the post didn't change. I'll keep an eye on it, try not to fetch that topic again. | Hmm that's interesting, though I suppose there's no real way to detect accounts like those other than checking their profiles directly? I'll keep my eye out for similar cases like this and double check any low IDs that come up. Hooked on Dodecaphonics |
